A Non-Executive Chairman is required for a large foodservice buying and marketing consortium.

Our client is looking for a Non-Exec Chairman to help facilitate the continued development of growth of the business and to provide strategic oversight to develop the companies vision, values, aims and objectives. The Chair will effectively chair meetings, facilitate decisions whilst continually reviewing the company’s performance at different levels.

The Chairman will have strong business and commercial acumen with a portfolio of high level governance skills including financial management. He/she must have experience of senior level positions and understand the need to balance large corporate functionality with the values of a family business.

Our client is UK-wide based (key meetings held near Birmingham).

Non-Exec Chairman Role/Requirements:

We are looking for a Non-Exec Chairman with the following requirements:

  • Worked at Director level within a buying group/consortium or wholesale environment
  • Implementation of a proven strategy
  • Chairman experience
  • Must be able to understand P+L accounts
  • Entrepreneurial flair

The Chairman who will be expected to work on average 3-4 days per month and will receive a competitive remuneration package (approx. £750 per day) with benefits and expenses.
